Angela and I have been talking about this day for a little over a year now – the day we would head to the airport as a family, and board a plane bound for Spain. It’s hard to believe it’s already here, but the anticipation has been building for weeks now.
Our families have all been visited, our friends threw us an amazing going-away party, and we got to celebrate with our church family and hospitality team this past weekend for a final hoorah before a long break.
Bags are packed (well, 99% of the way there at the time of this writing), house is getting a final once-over and our dog is being smothered with extra cuddles. We enjoyed a final “American breakfast” together as a family at our favorite breakfast/coffee joint, Honeysuckle Biscuits & Bakery, this morning.
Friends and family alike are sending beautiful texts of encouragement this morning and we feel the love, support and prayers being offered on our behalf. Vamos con Dios!
